Fantasy general 2 trainer armor5/2/2023 You posted this somewhere else so I feel it's useful to post here as well. Resources are fairly piecemeal in these, but once moved beyond Under Attack! they'll start to trickle in a lot more, and once in Borderlands, rain in.įor instance, the Machnar Clanhold mission dropped something like 15+ armor. The missions up to Under Attack! are basically tutorial missions. It does not mean that you should all of a sudden get high tier units within the first missions - in which, as I've mentioned before, the enemy doesn't either. It allows you to plan your army ahead, and look forward to I guess. What I mean to say is, the fact that you can SEE the upgrades, and all that is required would be the resources to get them with no extra bells and whistles, so maybe it feels like you should be able to.īut that's necessary info. I think you are being confused by having received extra information :) that is, on the upgrade path of a particular unit. but then, you have heroes of your own by default) There are practically no 3rd rank units within the first 4 missions (baring the Thane in the Under Attack! mission or something like that. Originally posted by dmcf:So I've nothing but rank one units to go up against mostly 2nd and 3rd rank enemy units, who also outnumber mine.Ģnd rank units, sure, it's normal, most are fairly easy to get (with the probable exception of Axemen). If there are to be armour, weapons, mana requirements, make them for top tier units - not frigging axemen and spearmaidens and slingers. Why make it impossible (or so tedious with endless reloads that people just don't want to play it any more) from the 4th mission? I want the *pointless* supply limit increased or scrapped - you have limited gold anyway - all it does is ensure you can't field a basic army by the 4th mission, when most people will quit after retrying it a few times, because the way it is atm it is in no way enjoyable. I want the *pointless* weapons and armour resources removed, at least for tier 2 and 3 units, so you can upgrade your units. ![]() I want to be able to get basic - i.e tier 2 units - by the *4th mission* when the enemy has boatloads of tier 2s and you can have at best a couple of slingers and a couple of javelinmen and zero axemen. In that time you will be able to get at least one axeman (if that is what you want) and one wolf mothers (again if you want) as well as you stand a good chance to upgrade at least two scouts (magical damage is nice) and two archers. They are for all purposes trainer missions so you get use to the mechanics. Originally posted by masterdelvin1:well, I would have to disagree that your suggestions would improve the game immensely. They are spot on with how weapons, armor and liquid mana are dolled out But again I would disagree about your suggestion. If the game doesn't appeal to you then drop it and go to something else. :) Try that, ignore save scumming and see what you think. Is the 4th map as far as you have gone? Save scum isn't required and in fact, a somewhat self-imposed ironman already available where you tell yourself the only time you save is on the world map and the only time you load is from said world map when you want to start playing. If by the time you reach the Dragon Island (about half way through the campaign) and you do not have at least two water boots (bet you save scummed past those) and most of your army at at least tier two and a few at tier three then I would agree with Starslayer, this might not be the game for you.Īlso, from your post you mentioned you would have to restart for the third time. Once you hit the swamps your liquid mana will pour in. After "The Thing" and it is a thing :) your armor and weapons will start to pour in. Not sure what your looking for but it sounds like you want tier three units within the first six missions. Well, I would have to disagree that your suggestions would improve the game immensely.
